Privacy
BuckSimple is a group of focused web tools operated by Breakpoint Industries Inc.
Browser-only tools
Tools labeled “processed in your browser” do not upload the selected files to BuckSimple. The work happens on your device and you choose where to save the result.
Dropbox tools
Dropbox handles sign-in. BuckSimple never receives your Dropbox password. A selected or recorded file may pass through short-lived server memory while it is sent to the Dropbox folder you chose. BuckSimple does not keep a second file copy.
Accounts and billing
Dropbox connection tokens are encrypted. BuckSimple may retain the account identifier, verified account email and display name, chosen folder, trial usage, and Stripe subscription identifiers needed to provide the service and prevent trial resets. Stripe processes payment details; BuckSimple does not store full card numbers.
Basic traffic counts
BuckSimple counts visits to its directory and selected app pages, directory clicks, tool attempts and successful runs, trial-limit prompts, checkout starts, and paid Stripe invoices. These are event totals, not unique people. Before a browser event is sent, the referring page is reduced to a broad category: direct, Google, Bing, Facebook, AI assistant, or other. The raw referrer hostname, path, and search terms are not sent. Browser events are sent without cookies or account credentials and with the network referrer disabled. BuckSimple stores daily totals containing the UTC date, event type, selected tool identifier, coarse source category, and count. For abuse protection, the server counts requests using a time-bucketed HMAC identifier made from the network address with a private server key. The raw network address is not stored. Keys become eligible for deletion after twenty minutes and are removed during a later analytics request or private summary read; the last keys may remain longer when the service is idle. BuckSimple does not store an IP address, email, cookie identifier, user agent, or referrer for analytics, and it does not create individual visitor profiles. Browser events are not sent when your browser reports Global Privacy Control or Do Not Track.
App ideas
When you send an app idea, BuckSimple stores the idea, your reply email, the app page it came from, the submission time, optional Dropbox account linkage, and a one-way rate-limit identifier for up to 180 days so Rob can review and answer it. The notice is also relayed to BuckSimple email through FormSubmit, which may retain form submissions for up to 30 days.
Permissions
Camera, microphone, file, photo, and location access is requested only after you choose an action that needs it. Your browser or phone controls the permission.
